The Innovus V models enable the operators to adjust the vacuum pressure and achieve guaranteed performance levels of less than 2% residual oxygen (RO). A blend of vacuum seaming and gassing can also be used to obtain the best possible modified atmosphere within the can and will offer RO levels below 1%. The Innovus VG can closers achieve this by first removing oxygen from the can, before back flushing it with nitrogen and then double seaming the can hermetically. For applications that demand the lowest possible RO values below 0.5%, our can closers will repeat this process of vacuum and gassing. Both the Innovus V and VG model seamers incorporate our unique ‘end hold off’ system that guarantees effective gas flushing using standard can ends, thereby removing the need to use the traditional ‘dimpled’ ends in order to ensure an effective nitrogen flow into the can.
